Four ways in

Start in a room full of people or start one on one. Both begin the same way: paint, music, and nobody telling you what to make.

The medium

Paint that finds its own shape

Fluid art is thin paint poured onto canvas and moved by tilting it. You are steering, not drawing. Nothing about it requires you to be able to draw, and nothing about it can go wrong.

It is where nearly everyone starts, and it is the medium the workshops and private events are built on. The programs go further — sculpture, casting, writing — but this is the door.

The method, such as it is

How it actually works

Very little guidance
You will not be told what to paint or how to hold anything. The process unfolds the way it unfolds, which is the entire point of it.
Music the whole time
Every session is music backed. It is there to give you something to move with so the thinking part quiets down on its own.
It is not about making something beautiful
You do not have to create art with the intention of making something pretty. You can just create. At the end there is something there that was not there before, and you made it.

The only rule

You are not making something beautiful

You do not have to create art with the intention of making something pretty. You can just create, and what it is, it is.

At the end, regardless of the process or what it looks like, there is something there that was not there before. You made it, and what was inside you — thoughts, beliefs, feelings — has been poured into it.

A workshop is the easiest way to see whether this is for you. A program is where it goes deep.
